A new nursing home set to open in County Armagh in Northern Ireland will reportedly have vegetable plots and animal pens.

The new 14-bed facility will be in the village of Loughall, on the site of former bar which is now being used as a car park.

Local news publication Armaghi reported that Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has signed off on the request for planning permission.

Ann’s Care Homes will be the operator of the care facility.

It confirmed that the building of the nursing home will have little effect on the number of parking spaces available.

Included on-site will be residents’ bedrooms, staff facilities, laundry, kitchen and more.

The care provider now reportedly has the green light to begin the build, with no estimated completion date yet revealed.
