Aedifica has announced the investment of more than €160 million into four Dublin care homes owned by Bartra Healthcare.

Aedifica will purchase two care homes and one transitional care unit.

It has also agreed the forward purchase of a care home that is currently under construction.

This will add 617 residents to Aedifica’s portfolio, it said, while Bartra will continue to operate the sites.

They include: Loughshinny Nursing Home, Northwood Nursing
Home and Beaumont Lodge.

Stefaan Gielens, CEO of Aedifica, commented: “Aedifica continues to expand its Irish healthcare real estate portfolio by investing approximately €161 million in four Dublin care properties.

“The transaction will further strengthen our position and visibility in the Irish market and contributes immediately to the group’s results.

“Our portfolio in Ireland will now increase to nearly €460 million upon completion of all development projects.

“Thanks to this transaction, we are expanding our collaboration with Bartra Healthcare, an established care home operator in Ireland.”
